New Jersey's Cannabis Market Regulation, Enforcement Assistance and Modernization Act (CREAMM) allows the legal sale and use of cannabis and cannabis products for residents 21 and older. The recently adopted NJ-CRC rules establish the recreational cannabis industry in the state. A state commission has granted permission to seven medical marijuana companies to start selling cannabis to all adults in 13 dispensaries. Even if it's illegal to sell recreational marijuana in a particular state, licensed dispensaries can do so.
Hawaii-based institutions have demonstrated a lack of willingness to provide financial services to medical marijuana dispensaries. A cannabis dispensary differs from similar retail stores known as head shops, in that only state-licensed cannabis dispensaries are allowed to sell cannabis.
